{"id":1095,"date":"2011-12-23T12:35:11","date_gmt":"2011-12-23T11:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmfestivalresearch.org\/?p=1095"},"modified":"2011-12-23T14:44:48","modified_gmt":"2011-12-23T13:44:48","slug":"new-film-festival-books","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.filmfestivalresearch.org\/index.php\/new-film-festival-books\/","title":{"rendered":"New film festival books"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the year comes to an end, yearly reviews abound.\u00a0 Thus, it might be timely to highlight a few new monographs and books in film festival studies. 2011 saw a vast number of new publications.\u00a0 Here are a few highlights:<\/p>\n<p>In winter, early in 2011 the most recent installment of the <em>Film Festival Yearbook<\/em> series appeared.\u00a0 The third volume edited by Dina Iordanova and Ruby Cheung covered the topic of<em> <a title=\"FFY3\" href=\"http:\/\/www.filmfestivalresearch.org\/index.php\/film-festival-yearbook-3-now-out\/\">Film Festivals and East Asia<\/a><\/em>. (<a title=\"FFY3\" href=\"http:\/\/www.st-andrews.ac.uk\/filmbooks\/books\/filmfestival3\/\" target=\"_blank\">St Andrews Film Studies<\/a>). \u00a0This spring the volume <em><a title=\"Festivals and Public Sphere\" href=\"http:\/\/www.routledge.com\/books\/details\/9780415587303\/\" target=\"_blank\">Festivals and the Cultural Public Sphere<\/a> <\/em>edited by Liana <em><\/em>Giorgi, Monica Sassatelli and Gerard Delanty stemming from the &#8220;Euro Festival: Art Festivals and the European Public Spher<a title=\"Wong: Film Festivals\" href=\"http:\/\/rutgerspress.rutgers.edu\/acatalog\/film_festivals.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1111 alignleft\" title=\"Layout 1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmfestivalresearch.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Wong_film_festivals.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"107\" height=\"161\" \/><\/a>e&#8221; project came out at Routledge.
